Fiber

Whether it is breeding for the showring or for
guard or pet animals or fiber and yarn, at
Wheatfield Llamas quality is our goal. To
assure a quality product, all of our llamas
are cleaned, brushed and blown prior to
being shorn. The fiber is then sorted by
color and quality and sent to a mill to be
washed, carded and put into rovings. The
rovings are then hand spun on a Schacht
double-treadle spinning wheel. The yarn is
then washed to set the twist. All of these
measures are taken to insure a high quality
product.

Many colors of fiber are available in approximately
10 oz. bumps. Both the cria and llama fiber are
super soft and silky. It will be perfect for all your
spinning or weaving needs!

This quality 2 ply llama yarn has been hand spun and then
washed to set the twist. Colors in every shade of black,
brown, gray and white are available for you to choose from.
